Who we are
The Incorporated Trustees of Healing Palm Ministries International (RC 8713934), The Fire House, Km 14 Lekki–Epe Expressway, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, is responsible for the personal information collected on this website. Questions about your information: .
What we collect, and why
What you type into a form, for the reason the form gives, and a rough idea of where you are:
- Prayer requests (/prayer): your name and phone number, how and when to reach you, and anything you choose to share; for a sick bed call, the patient's name and where they are, and whether it is critical. We use this to pray with you and, for sick bed calls, to visit.
- Help requests (/help): your name, phone, optional email, how to contact you and your message, so the right team can help.
- Days of Elijah registration: name, WhatsApp number, branch and town; for someone who is sick, the carer's name, their mobility and, only if you agree, their condition, so medical volunteers are ready.
- Planning a visit: name, WhatsApp number, service and how many are coming, so the welcome team can meet you.
- Giving: your email (for the receipt), optional name, the amount, currency and purpose. Card and bank details go straight to our payment processor, Paystack, and never reach us.
- Testimonies you send us: what you write and your consent choices. Nothing is published without your consent and our checks.
- Your phone number as your identity: the first time you give us your number (on a form, or to our welcome team at church), we keep your name and number so we know you when you come back, and you can later sign up to My HPM with the same number. Earlier requests only appear in your account once you have confirmed the number is yours.
- Approximate location: when you send a form or sign in, we estimate your country, state and town from your internet address, using an outside lookup service (ipapi.co), so we know where our members and visitors are. The address is not saved on your profile, and you can correct the location in My HPM → Profile.
- Where you're signed in: for each device you sign in on, the type of browser and device, its internet address and when it was last used, so you can see and sign out your devices.
Health details, prayer requests and messages are encrypted in our database.
Who sees it
Only the people who need it to help you: the minister praying with you, the team handling your request, the welcome or events team, or the finance office for gifts. Your privacy choice on a prayer request decides whether our intercessors or the prayer wall see it; the wall shows a first name only, after a minister has checked it. We do not sell or share your information for marketing. Service providers who process it for us (hosting, email, SMS and WhatsApp, Paystack) may only use it to provide their service.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it, and for gifts as long as the law requires for financial records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. Write to . If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
Our public pages set no cookies. When you send a form or sign in, we set one session cookie to keep that secure; it is not used for tracking or advertising. Your prayer list and "I have prayed" marks are kept only on your own device.
